TAXI: According to Rome’s official taxi price list the cost of a taxi ride from Rome airport to the city center is €50 during daytime. This basic fee includes one suitcase per person but each additional suitcase is charged an extra fee. There are more add-ons such as an extra charge if your destination is located outside of the city center (beyond the Aurelian Walls) as well as a 10% charge during national and religious holidays, a 20% charge during nighttime, and more.

TRAIN: The Leonardo de Vinci Express Train from Fiumicino airport to the city center costs €14. Trains leave at 30-minute intervals, and reach Rome’s central train station –TERMINI. But then you must take another train, subway, bus or taxi to reach your accommodation, or else walk there with your luggage. 

While these means of transportation are a possibility, they are certainly not the most convenient ones. So if you’re traveling on budget but don’t want to give up on comfort, Romio has put together the perfect solution for you: whether on arrival at the start of your visit or on departure, and whether you travel alone or with a partner or group, our shuttle service will pick you up and drop you off at your destination, at a most affordable price, that includes one suitcase and one carry-on per person. There will be only 3 other couples (or a total of 8 passengers) on the same shared-ride with you, so it won’t take too long to reach your destination. And what’s more, all shuttles are carried out in modern, spacious and comfortable Mercedes vans, affording you the comfort of a chauffeured taxi service.

All you need to do is send us your confirmation by return email. Once you confirm, we will send you another message, containing important details. We suggest you make a copy or a screenshot of this message and keep it handy upon arrival.

Please Note: We can’t finalize your reservation unless we receive your confirmation by email. In other words, filling out the reservation form online is NOTsufficient – you must receive all the relevant information from us, and only when you’re sure that all details are correct, you should confirm your reservation, thereby securing your seat on Romio’s shuttle.

Romio’s driver will be waןting for you in Terminal 3 between the meeting point columns 1 and 2, with our Romio logo sign.

The estimated waiting time before the shuttle departs is between 20-35 minutes.

The limit is 8 passengers per ride, all vans are modern and spacious, fitted with air-conditioning, and comfortably seating 8 passengers. The cost includes one big suitcase and one carry-on per person.

It normally takes about 40 minutes to get into the city, but it may at times last longer due to traffic conditions and stops for letting off the other passengers.

Passengers are dropped off at the entrance to their accommodation – be it a hotel or an apartment. If the street is blocked or otherwise inaccessible – passengers will be dropped off as close as possible to the entrance of their accommodation.

Shuttles from your accommodation to the airport will drop you off at the entrance to the terminal assigned to your flight.

Yes, absolutely. Shuttle price during the day (from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.) – €17.5 per person – no extras!

We offer a night shuttle service in our shuttle at a cost of only €20 per passenger one way! The most cost-effective solution for transfers from Fiumicino airport to a hotel in Rome and back for those landing and taking off from Rome at night! Night shuttle service hours are 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The departure of the shuttle is conditional on a minimum number of passengers per flight.

To make sure you arrive in time for your flight, Romio’s shuttle will pick you up between three and a half and four hours before the scheduled departure of your flight. Based on our experience, our shuttles always reach the airport about 3 hours before flight departure, allowing our clients stress-free, prompt arrival at the airport.

You may wait at your hotel entrance or lobby. If you’re staying in an apartment, please wait at the building’s entrance, at the exact address indicated in your booking confirmation. If the street is blocked or the location of your accommodation is otherwise inaccessible, we will select a meeting point as close as possible to your location, and will notify you accordingly, in advance.

The shuttle will drop you off at the entrance to the terminal assigned to your flight.

You pay the driver in cash at the end of the ride – no advance payment is required.

If you are traveling with young children or babies, we would be happy to serve you with Romio’s chauffeured car services, and provide you with baby and toddler car seats at no extra charge (under prior arrangement with our customer service staff). For your info, Romio strictly adheres to Italian law, which requires baby and toddler car seats when traveling. It is not technically possible to fit our shared-ride vans with these children’s car seats, and therefore this is optional only in our chauffeured car services.

In case of a major change to the flight schedule, the lost luggage, or any other major change of your plans, please advise us by telephone, email to text message, to enable us to make the necessary changes at our end. Our drivers are always tracking flight schedules, but it is essential to update us on any change in flight schedule in real-time, to enable us to readjust our drivers’ schedules and itineraries efficiently.  

To secure your seats on Romio’s shuttles and gain your peace of mind during your stay in Rome, we recommend booking both your arrival and departure transfers at the time of booking your roundtrip flights. This is advisable because the number of seats is limited.
